| Abstract;Aryl beta-imino/enamino-gamma-fluorosubstituted propyl sulfoxides and the corresponding reduced amino derivatives are utilized as chiral templates in the asymmetric synthesis of title compounds. Improvements achieved in the control of diastereoselection during the preparation of the templates by changing the aryl moiety at sulfur and the substituent on the nitrogen atom will be reported.
