Abstract;Trifluoroacetimidoyl halides have been employed as synthetic building blocks. Trifluoroacetimidoyl metals are particularly useful for carbon-carbon bond formation on the imidoyl carbon with electrophiles. Imidoyl palladium, rhodium and magnesium have been newly developed to synthesize N-aryl trifluoroacetodiimines, trifluoromethylquinolines, and N,C-disilyl-.BETA.,.BETA.-difluoroenamines.
