Abstract;A controller design method is proposed to interactively optimize controller parameters by introducing an augmented performance index. The performance index, which is able to flexibly contain design specifications, is optimized by the improved Complex Method. Designed controllers by the proposed method are applied to the experiment of an inverted pendulum, and the validity is confirmed. (author abst.)
