Abstract;Timing belts are used in servo drive system widely. The stiffness characteristic of the belts influence on servo performance. We have investigated that belt stiffness by tension is 1st order function of deflection by experiment. To analyze the relation between tensile stiffness of the belt and torsional we propose stiffness model of belt drives not having reduction rate. And we expend the method to the model of belt drives having reduction rate. By experiment we verify that the torsional stiffness have relation to the function of belt tension. (author abst.)
