| Abstract;The purpose of this research is development of the going up stairs system by an autonomous mobile robot using the crawler and the driving wheels that are lifted up. We developed the going up stairs mechanism of an autonomous mobile robot equipped with the crawler at the center bottom of the robot and the driving wheels that are lifted up at the front and rear of the robot. When the robot goes up to stairs, the driving wheels at the front of the robot are raised on the stairs, and the driving wheels at the front and rear of the robot are rotated. Using this mechanism, we experiment on the going up stairs with this robot on actual stairs, and checked the validity of this system. This paper describes the stair going up stairs mechanism and it's system and experimental results. (author abst.) |
