Abstract;A case (78-year-old woman) of autoimmune hypophysitis associated with hyperthyroidism exhibiting hypophyseal stalk swelling, high-valued PRL, and decreased GH secretion is reported. Basedow disease was diagnosed from examination findings. As the result of the administration of thiamazole, serum TSH increased, and the tremor of the fingers also disappeared. This case was the rare case which complicated Basedow disease in autoimmune hypophysitis. In the diagnosis, measurement of serum anti-human hypophysis antibody against the human pituicyte membrane fraction as an antigen was useful.
