Abstract;A case (70-year-old woman) of Basedow disease (Marine-Lenhart syndrome) causing thyrocele accompanied by the enormous multiple node during treatment with the antithyroid agent and exhibiting the tissue profiles of the Plummer disease is reported. The antithyroid antibody was positive from the crisis beginning, and Basedow disease was diagnosed. The increase of the thyroid gland tumors became remarkable during the treatment course, and resulted in the operation. Plummer disease was finally diagnosed by the postoperative histological tissue examination.
