| Abstract;A number of theoretical and experimental considerations on multipath error evaluation at GPS positioning are carried out, especially so, on a base of simple mirror reflection. However, no positioning calculation actually estimating multipath error to use the error for its code phase compensation was carried out, and effect of diffraction of electric wave on GPS positioning precision was scarcely examined. In this paper, was estimated, on GPS positioning, partition of multipath error based on mirror reflection, to show how fixed point DGPS positioning precision was improved when using it for code phase compensation. And, here was also shown effect of diffraction on code phase. For estimation of the multipath error, a technology using difference between conventional carrier wave phase and code phase and a multipath error newly calculated from geometrical arrangement relation between antenna and obstacles were used. By applying multipath error estimated at a condition of mobile stations receiving reflection waves from obstacles, it was confirmed to reduce error of altitude direction to its about a third. And, by applying carrier smoothing, the error could be reduced to less than its a tenth. Furthermore, as confirming reduction of signal strength by diffraction, if securing its minimum recommended value, error at the code phase could not be found. |
