| Abstract; In using the above-shown intelligent prosthesis knee joint, the user can walk in varying its walking speed, because the microcomputer controls the swinging period of the artificial leg. In order to verify this fact, the author has measured the air pressure within the pneumatic cylinder and the crooking angle of knee, when walking at a constant speed and when walking acceleratedly or deceleratedly. As a result, it was shown that the performance of pneumatic cylinder for following the walking speed enables a sufficient crooking angle of knee, so that an exellent walking characteristic is realized. Here, the operating principle of this artificial leg, and the progress of the above-said test, are explained. |
