Abstract; In this paper, were described a design method of dynamic band allocation system considering image quality at multichannel transmission of accumulated MPEG video and its mounted results. On this system, when allocating bands to animation stream groups sharing same circuits, parameters numerized on image quality deterioration features of every animations were used. And, by preliminarily making a transmission schedule showing band partition to every streams for its time-axial direction, image quality feature change together with scenes change of every streams could be corresponded. However, as GOP (group of picture) in every streams was synchlonized, by frequent formation of scene change based on increasing stream numbers, there was a problem unenable to realize transmission along the schedule. Then, in this paper, was proposed a method carrying out independent transmission processing at every groups, by carrying out group partition of whole of streams. And, here was also proposed an estimation method on optimum group numbers reducing image quality deterioration using some parameters such as mean scene length, GOP length, and so on. By mounting these control onto LAN, to carry out some transmission tests on accumulated MPEG video, effectiveness of this method to multichannel transmission was confirmed.
