Abstract;As high frequency switching sources for induction heating, some circuit topologies on series load resonant high frequency ZCS inverters (HFZCSI) are proposed. As MOS gate bipolar power transistor (IGBT) forms switching loss based on fall and tail currents at turn-off, zero current switching pulse commutation is superior to zero voltage switching pulse commutation. However, output power control of HFZCSI is mainly carried out by PAM and PFM, and reports on HFZCSI with constant frequency PWM functions are scarcely found. And, when using two sets of HFZCSI, as there is also a method to control output power at constant frequency by changing phase difference of two output voltages or output currents, with larger phase difference, not only efficiency reduces but also cost increases. Therefore, in this report, was proposed for high frequency soft switching inverters for induction heating, a method on constant frequency PWM power control series load resonant HFZCSI using partial resonant ZVS auxiliary switch. And, in this paper, were illustrated, evaluated and investigated on working, circuit design method and power control features of this circuit.
