Abstract;The childhood tumor tissue classification committee of the Pathological Soceiety of Japan adopted the new WHO classification(presented in 2000) and published "the newly-revised edition of childhood tumor tissue classification map: central nervous system tumor". The table of histological classification was presented, outlining the main part according to the following items: 1) astrocytoma, 2) ependymoma and choroid plexus tumor, 3) mixed tumor of nerve cell and neuroglia cell, 4) fetal tumor; a) medulloblastoma, b) supratentorial and spinal cord primitive nerve ectodermal tumors, c) ependymoblastoma, d) medulloepithelioma, e) atypical teratoid and rhabdoid tumors.
