Abstract;During January, 1997 - December, 2001, 7 cases(9 months-10 years old; 5 males and 2 females), with unextirpatable hepatoblastoma having no extrahepatic metastasis recognized on the basis of imaging testing, received living liver transplantation. Before transplantation, 6 cases had received chemotherapy mainly using cisplatin and adriamycin. The alpha fetoprotein (AFP) value at the transplantation was 9.5ng/ml-72077ng/ml. Regarding the case of living liver transplantation for hepatoblastoma, pathological findings on extirpated liver and clinical developement were shown in table. Soon after operation, 2 cases resulted in lung metastasis to die in overall 7 months. 1 case is alive at present overall 3 years and 5 months, though there was recurrence on the transplated liver 2 years after operation, followed by lung metastasis 3 years after operation. 4 cases are alive at present overall 1-3 years and 2 months without recurrence.
