| Abstract;Questionnaire on emotional support was addressed to 100 patiets with childhood cancer taken to 9 hospitals in Japan(4th graders of elementary school-university students who, with history of hospitaliation at age of less than 15, were considered as of the time to be cured after finishing treatment, or who kept receiving treatment as outpatients). Effective answers were obtained from 54 persons. Inpatients required 4 objects of mother, father, doctor and nurse as their supporting sources. Patients easily perceived situation sharing, skinship or the like for support. Comedical staff's careless speech or behavior, disregarding patient's personality, had become heavy mental burden to patients. |
