| Abstract;The titled case(a male infant of 46 days after birth) had the chief complaint of left inguinal hernia. It was recognized by laparotomical biopsy on the 12th illuness day that there was neuroblastoma of rosette-fibrillary type, being afavorable strome with poor histology based on Shimada classification. Since the tumor was too big to conduct one stage operation, pre-operative chemotherapy was started. According to the 9805 protocol of Ministry of Health and Welfare, 4 courses of regimen A and 2 courses of regimen C2 were performed to result in marked reduction in tumor. Then the residual tumor with left adrenal gland was extirpated on the 160th illness day. Left kidney was able to be preserved. It was recognized by biopsy of left spermatic cord that sparsely disseminated tumor cell remained, so that operation was conducted and 6 courses of regimen A were added. As of 10 months after finishing the treatment, induration remained in the spermatic cord. However, it tended not to grow, and urinary VMA ratio and HVA ratio were normal. |
