Abstract;The SUPER-UX operating system of the SX-6 provides an advanced supercomputing environment that has been enhanced by the maturation of the SUPER-UX of SX-4 and SX-5 Series. The SUPER-UX realizes user friendliness of UNIX.DAGGER. for larger systems and substantial system administration functions while retaining the high-reliability, high-performance large-scale system of the existing SUPER-UX. This paper describes the features and characteristics of SUPER-UX that support the higher speed and larger scale SX-6 System, and those of Enhanced Resource Scheduler II (ERSII), the latest version of ERS that enhances the job scheduler for NQSII-based batch systems.
