Abstract;To detect a fire quickly, and to reduce unwanted alarm, "Cyber Sensor" has been developed. This multi-sensor detector is provided with three new functions: new combined smoke and heat sensing, AI(Artificial Intelligence) judgment, and adaptive learning. To integrate these functions into this detector, the following devices have been developed,: a) the small optical system by applying modular-construction techniques; b) ASICs for detection, power supply, and transmission; c) new combined smoke and heat sensing algorithm for various kinds of actual fires; d) adaptive learning to adjust its algorithm to ambient conditions automatically. Our sensor can turn conventional fire alarm systems into highly functional systems that reduce unwanted alarm and detect all the TF fires specified in EN54. And the system with high functions has been built without making a burden to the receiver. (author abst.)
