| Abstract;By analyzing the transmission characteristics and noise spectrum on a powerline in real-use environment such as with IH apparatus, an evaluation model has been proposed for quantitatively assessing the transmission characteristics of low-speed powerline communication. The evaluation of the Spread Spectrum applied low-speed power-line communication modem developed by the authors by applying the proposed model has shown substantial superiority over the conventional method with regard to error rate, indicating that the method is highly usable even under the worst noise condition.
