Abstract; For the purpose of expanding application of solar generation systems to large buildings and public facilities, a system design method for installing on the roof of a super high-rise building has been developed to ensure high wind resistance, maximized generation capability and minimized reflection pollution based on a sunlight analysis made with a whole-sky camera. When designing a solar generation system to be installed on the roof of a building surrounded by many high-rises, withstanding the maximum possible wind speed and minimizing the reduction of generated power by the shade from neighboring buildings are the major engineering issues. It has been confirmed that modules with sufficient anti-wind strength can be built without substantially changing the standard materials and manufacturing processes if appropriate attention is paid to the solar module area and method of securing the modules. The best wiring connections and reflection pollution are to be studied by conducting a simulation for expected daily generation in the building planning stage and an internally developed fish-eye simulation at the completion of the building shell.
