| Abstract; It is not an exaggerated account that RNA's active functions are fundamental in all gene expression systems, and life support systems of all living organisms. Outlines of human genome reported in the first year of the twenty-first century, and elucidation of the atomic structure of ribosome (an RNP super-complex) gave a big impact on RNA science as great historical achievements in life science. The tide of RNA science in the twenty-first century will be directed to integrated research of RNA in complicated vital phenomena of cells and individuals such as development, differentiation, and diseases from one to one research on RNA. At the same time, new RNA technologies will be born there, and RNA science in the post genome age will be emerged with the aids of double wheels of basic and application research, and both wings of proteomics. |
