| Abstract; The importance of model animals is far beyond discussion when we understand human diseases caused by abnormalities of biologically functioning molecules. Model animals, however, must represent surely genetic mutations occurring in human diseases, and the diseases states. Today various disease states which are estimated to be caused by mutations in mtDNA, are urgently requiring to be produced model animals with disease states introducing mutant-formed mtDNAs. This article outlines disease state crises of the mouse model introduced mtDNA with pathogenic large-scale deletion mutant (Mito-Mice), which authors have recently produced, and interaction theory of mammalian mitochondria. |
