Abstract; The symptoms were rapidly remitted by changing medication to lansoprazole in patients with reflux esophagitis not responding to histamine H2-receptor antagonists (H2RA). The symptoms showed more marked decrease in patient who had reflux esophagitis of the grade C or D. When symptoms did not decrease even with oral administration of lansoprazole, other factors should be taken into consideration. (author abst.)
