| Abstract;Ninety cases of chronic pain were classified into two groups. Forty cases of invasive pain and fifty cases of neurogenic pain were assigned into Group A and Group B, respectively and analgesic effects of xenon light exposure on various pains were investigated. Ultraviolet-eliminated xenon light was exposed to pain regions and nerve-compressive regions for 15 min with an interval of 3.5 sec. To evaluate its analgesic effect, the rate of VAS before the exposure to that immediately after it was determined. Xenon exposure was effective in 39 of 40 cases for Group A and 35 of 50 for Group B, indicating that it was more effective on invasive pain than neurogenic pain. |
