Abstract; The continuous injection method and the patient care analgesia(PCA) are used as postoperative analgesia methods.Using these, it is possible to accurately administer an analgesic via the most suitable route.Narcotics, antagonistic analgesics, and local anesthetics are used as analgesics. In PCA, it is necessary to repeatedly examine doses, administration drugs, side effects, existence of complications and others.PCA is an excellent method and can provide delicate analgesia; the effective perioperative management can be carried out.If the appropriate analgesia has been chosen by observing the operation modes and the conditions of patients, the postoperative pain can be considerably reduced. As the result, the earlier rising, earlier discharge from hospital and decrease of complications can be stimulated.
