Abstract; The patient of this case was a 56-year-old man whose right pulmonary artery was completely occluded by an ascending aortic aneurythm. He was scheduled to undergo Bentall operation. The left and right airways were separated using tracheal tube to prevent occurrence of pulmonary atelectasis by applying positive pressure to the lung. In addition rapid increase of blood pressure in the pulmonary artery was prevented by administration of vasodilator agents. There was no aggravation of pulmonary hemorrhage and blood gas.
