| Abstract;It has been reported that Magnesium (Mg) is an essential element for the activities of enzymes in cellular energy metabolism pathway. Operation associated stress has been reported to lower the serum Mg level. In this article, various physiological functions of Mg as well as the roles of Mg in cardiovascular system were described. Perioperative changes of hypermagnesia and hypomagnesia and points to pay attention for perioperative Mg control were summarized. |
