| Abstract;Comparative study with super elderly at age 85 or more was made between each 6 cases of emergency laparotomy and ordinary one. Duration of anesthesia and operation were both shorter and the number of preoperative complication was more for the former cases of laparotomy. Since the ordinary laparotomy group was mainly occupied with radical surgery for gastrointestinal cancer, the mean duration of anesthesia became longer. For the emergency laparotomy group, hypertension of the latter group was well controlled and the anesthetic procedure was general anesthesia (3 cases), combination of general anesthesia and subarachnoid one (2) and subarachnoid anesthesia alone (1). There was no case of death during admission in both groups. |
