Abstract; When a patient under the treatment with oral morphine undergoes an operation, it is necessary to change its administration route during fasting. After laparotomy for patients with cancerous pain, morphine was changed to patient controlled epidural analgesia (PCEA) with bupivacaine as an analgesic support. Thus, the pain was well controlled without using another analgesic drug.
