| Abstract; For lumbago therapy, it is important to establish a reliable diagnostic criteria and therapeutic method based on pathological reasons. Here, we described the clinical significance of afferent fiber system elucidated by recent anatomical studies in the field of peripheral nerve research. The control system consisting of a concentric circular structure around the respective dorsal root ganglions was found on the lumbar cross section. Presence of 2-way afferent fiber that controls two different tissues was demonstrated. At L5-L6level, the main nerve control segment was L1/L2 and most of the afferent nerve fibers was via the sympathetic nerve trunk. Surgery for nerve block should be made after selecting the most appropriate block site taking consideration of the nerve control structure. |
