Abstract;The pains treated in the pain clinic include complicatedly acute pain(nociceptive pain) and chronic pain(neuropathic pain and psychogenic pain).The current perception threshold inspection which is the quantitative electrophysiological diagnosis, and the pain-tolerance threshold inspection are useful for evaluation of the nerve fiber selective peripheral nerve function.The appropriate diagnosis and the choice of therapies become easier by judging which nerve fiber is concerned in the pain and what is the degree of the failure.
