Abstract;With upgrading and prolongation of the recent brain surgical operation, the anesthetic method is also gradually changing.Because of deep understanding of the characteristics of inhalant anesthetics and intravenous anesthetics as well as of appearance of new techniques such as bispectral index, the brain surgical operation for a longer time has been able to be safely enforced.The following were outlined: The trend of anesthesia for the recent brain surgical operation, the cerebral protective effect and the selection of anesthetics, the cerebral protective effect of the anesthesia-related drugs, hyperglycemia and encephalopathia, and a new monitor.
