Abstract;Pregnancy, parturition, and puerperium are accompanied by large physiological changes. The compensative quick wit works in order to maintain the homeostasis, if there is a pysiological change.Because a pregnant mother is in the condition that the compensative quick wit has already worked, the spare ability lowers; the change similar to that in a load test carried out on a non-pregnant woman has already occurred. There is the risk of collapse of the compensative quick wit when the invasion of operation, parturition and others is further added. The following were outlined: The physiological changes during pregnancy and the problems of anesthesia, the placental function and the uterine-placental blood flow, and the placental conversion of anesthesia-related drugs. In addition, anesthesia of the cesarean section and fetus anesthesia were described.
