Abstract; For obese subjects, the anesthetic management is required which keeps in mind not only the effect of the heavy body weights on the anesthesia but also the complications such as the respiratory system, circulatory system, and metabolic endocrine system. The decision of obesity, the concept and cause, the treatment of obesity, and the pathophysiology of complications and obese subjects were outlined.Furthermore, the practice of the anesthetic management of obese subjects was described. It is required to conduct this strictly from steps of the preoperative evaluation and preoperative care.Although the respiratory care becomes the most problematic during operation, the postoperative pain management is important in order to prevent the postoperative complications.
