| Abstract;This paper deals with an outline of hydrological research series in the 20th century in the field of Irrigation, Drainage and Reclamation Engineering. The Association of Irrigation, Drainage and Reclamation Engineering was established in 1929, published several kinds of research journals, with change in types, along with an index every 10 years. Using their materials, this paper reviewed the research flow of hydrology, by divisions of seepage, evapo-transpiration, runoff phenomena, groundwater, water temperature and water quality as well as with the names of the researchers. Individual research was especially, stated with relation to political, economical, and technological situations for each period. As a result of those considerations, the individual field of hydrology was strongly affected by the situation of each period. On the other hand, this paper also added a simple explanation of the main research in each series and its inter relationship with the major research and the perspective of 21st century hydrology research.
