Abstract; In recent years, interventional radiology has markedly developed and is thought to be one of the most important therapeutic procedures. But at times, radiation-induced injuries to the skin and lens resulting from prolonged periods of fluoroscopy have been reported. To reduce these radiation injuries, optimal interventional procedures is required. Sufficient protection can be obtained by practicing the basic techniques. Radiation protection of interventionalist is closely connected with that of patients. It is desirable to have awareness to find a way of reducing radiation exposure. (author abst.)
