Abstract;A case of anesthesia of a patient who experienced anaphylactic shock during laparotomy two times was reported. The patient was a 31-year-old woman who received spino-subarachnoid anesthesia and epidural one. It had been suspected that her anaphylactic shock was induced with a local anesthetic drug. Since our interview with her disclosed that her anaphylaxis would have occurred due to latex allergy, we made surgical treatments excluding goods consisted from natural gum, resulting in no occurrence of anaphylaxis. Her postoperative courses were favorable and she was discharged on the postoperative day 7. Thus, it seems important to find a high-risk patient through asking various questions in the preoperative interview.
