Abstract; We report anesthetization for laparotomy in an ileus patient with autosomal chromosome dominant multi-cystic kidney. Since renal function disorder and abnormality in blood electrolyte were noted preoperatively, surgery was conducted under general anesthetization in combination with epidural one. Anesthetization was induced with propofol and suxamethonium after pretreatment with famotidine, atropine, hydroxyzine and vecuronium. The patient was put under artificial control of respiration. Although renal and hepatic functional disorders appeared transiently, her postoperative courses were favorable with fluid therapy and blood pressure control, but no complication developed.
