| Abstract; The characteristics of high concentration (4%) morphine were described. Since the WHO method to relieve cancerous pain was introduced in 1986, the consumption of morphine was increased in Japan. We constructed an administration manual for continuous I.V. injection of morphine and also continuous subcutaneous morphine injection has been applied mainly in a hospice. Since massive administration of morphine through injection was introduced, development of high content morpine preparation for injection has been desired, resulting in shipping-out of morphine preparation (200 mg/5 ml), which allows its administration up to the dose of 800 mg/day. Thus, pain control became easy and effective. |
