Abstract; The patient of this case was a 79-year-ood woman who was scheduled to receive exclusion surgery for a foreign substance in the esophagus. Fro pretreatment, atropine was administered intramuscularly and the airway was saved using mini-track IITM inserted through cricothyrotomy. Ventilation was manually conducted with oxygen following the insertion of mini-track IITM. Anesthesia was induced with propofol and vecuronium and maintained by manual ventilation of oxygen, nitrous oxide and sevoflurane in combination with highly frequent vibration ventilation. No trouble occurred during the anesthesia. There were none of special abnormalities in blood pressure, heart rate and EEG as well as no complication caused by mini-track IITM.
