| Abstract;Purola AP series classified into quasi drugs were used in a total of 32 infant cases suffering from atopic dermatitis and dermatological diseases in Yodogawa Christian Hospital during June 14, 2001-July 1, 2002. These products (Clear Soap,Water Gel and Moist Cream) contain anti-inflammatory ingredients, such as Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate and Perilla extract, and Glycerin as moisturizing. The results indicated that the skin conditions in 26 cases (83.9%) were generally improved after 4 weeks of the usage. Minor adverse effects were observed in 2 (6.3%) cases, but no adverse effect was occurred in the rest of 30 cases. According to the questionnaire survey subjected to the parents of the patients, the skin conditions in 27 cases (84.4%) showed improvement after the application. It was suggested that the Purola AP series is a safe skincare line even in atopic dermatitis and skin disorders. (author abst.) |
