| Abstract; This paper explains the following items on the titled technology: 1) Background; Two major applications of slug are base course material as particulates and concrete aggregate after molding, 2) practical diffusion test was performed using mortar with slug aggregate and an analytical method using eluded flux gradient, along with measurement of practical slug sphere degree to calculate apparent surface area and 3) results; particle size of 1-2 mm was enough for the test; elution rate of some elements was diffusion dependent; effective diffusion coefficient in pH 4 dilute nitric acid was about one order higher than in distilled water; environmental load of slug added mortar was found significantly low by a comparative test with standard sand mortar. |
