| Abstract;A wristband-style home-use portable blood pressure monitor has been developed that is compact and lightweight and features a short measurement time. It employs the increasing pressure measurement method instead of the conventional decreasing pressure measurement method and a narrower cuff width in a three-layer structure with the innermost and middle layers split to avoid the tendon. The cuff rotation mechanism enables 180-degree rotation against the body during storage to provide an approximate 50 % reduction in case thickness, a cuff width reduction of 23 %, and a measurement time reduction of 24 % compared with the previous model. As the importance of blood pressure measurement at home is actively discussed and the need for easy-to-measure, easy-to-carry wristband-style blood pressure monitor increases, this product could serve as a self-check device for individual health.
