Abstract;Short term result of total hip arthroplasty, using Spongiosa-Metal-grating-like cement-less Lubeck-II(Spongiosa-Metal-II) was reported. Traceable 43 examples of 47 joints (July1999-November2000) were the object. The average age in the operation was 62.9, and the average follow-up period were the 21.7 months. The primary disease was coxarthrosis 36 joint (&, chronic articular rheumatism; 3 joints, idiopathic necrosis of femoral head disease; 1 joint, femoral neck fracture; 4 joints, artificial head shrinkage; 1 joint). The JOA score has been improved with preoperative of 46.9 points ( pain 11.3 points ), 93.4 points ( pain 39.5 points ) in the last investigation. In the X-ray-analytical evaluation, radiability was also 1mm or less (2 example; in stem side zone1). Postoperative complication did not recognize dislocations, infection, etc.. Ectopic bone formation was recognized in 4 examples, but hoop, excursion restriction and pain were not recognized.
