Abstract;AML type stem is stem, made of the cobalt chromium,of which the about 5/8 length was coated in pore size, of average of 250.MU.m in the pore. The postoperative result for coxarthrosis was examined. Objects were 61 examples 71 joints (man; 8, woman; 53 examples) which were able to follow up the over of 5 years. The age in the operation was 44-76-year-old (average; 57.7), and the follow-up period was average of 9.0 year(follow-up study rate;81.6%). The JOA score was improved for 83.7 points in the last observation(preoperative 47.4 points). The bone-ingrown fixation of stem was 67 joint 94.4%, and femur bone resorption remained on the the most part within stem juxtaposition of 1/3. The example presenting the extensive bone resorption at about 20% was observed. In generation and age in the operation and follow-up period of the extensive bone resorption, the relation was not recognized.
