Abstract; The operation was carried out in 1981-1996, and the medium and long term result was examined for the 21 cases which passed through over 5 years. The patient age in the operation was 50-91 year-old (average of 71.3 year-old),and follow-up period were the 5 year and 3 month-15 year and 8 months (average 10 year and 5 months). It is considered that neighbourhood transfer of the outer head is a cause of the clinical result lowering.Design and cementing technique of the stem seemed to be concerned on the distance transfer of the stem. The prevalence of the implant transfer was comparatively low, and it seemed to be because the activity of the old people lowered.Three cases (neighbourhood transfer of 69 year-old women, cement breakage, defect of 62 year-old women) were presented by X-ray photography.
