Abstract;Postoperative result of THA (total hip arthroplasty) for RDC (the rapid destruction type coxitis) is reported with being worse than OA (the form coxitis).Postoperative result of the case of 27 RDC for THA in 1969-2000 was reported. The age in the operation was 55-87 year old (average of 72 year old).And,the postoperative observation term were the 1 year-17 years and 6 months (average 5 years and 6 months).There was looseness in 4 cases,therefore,the postoperative result of THA was compared with OA,and it could not be called a good result.There was outer upper type looseness in the acetabular cartridge side in 3 cases, and it was the case in which they filled only the cement without carrying out the bone transplantation.In the case of the bone transplantation for bone defect, there was no looseness.
