| Abstract;Reconstructive surgery of 4 cases which used artificial ligament for the patellar tendon injury of TKA (artificial knee joint placement technique) was reported. The primary disease was the gonarthrosis.Causes of the tendon injury were 4 cases of 2 tipping over and 2 peroperative periods damage. The average age in reconstructive surgery was 73 year-old (63-81 year-old).The traumatism time was the average 20 days in the postoperation TKA.The postoperative average observation period was for 3.5 years. The reinforcement suture was carried out using the Leeds-Keio artificial ligament for the damage patellar tendon. The reconstructive surgery of the good knee extension mechanism was obtained in the 3 cases of4 cases, however, the complication of 1 surface infection and 1 deep direction infection arose. It was shown to be the useful operation in which TKA by artificial ligament enables early stage rehabilitation. And, it was indicated that attention was necessary for the infection complication. |
