| Abstract;Central hypotensive drug (I) was outlined. To begin with, the relation between blood pressure and sympathetic nerve activity was described, and it was explained on action mechanism that I acted to the brain to suppress the sympathetic nerve activity and brought about the hypotensive action. The following were mentioned as features of I : Effects to the blood pressure regulation mechanism, hemodynamics features, metabolic side effect etc. I was adaptative in various hypertension, and hypertension due to pregnancy and early morning hypertension were described in detail. Finally, the precautions for use were explained. Pre-sleep time administration is desirable for central side effects such as sleepiness, calmness and thirst, however, attention should be paid because serious liver disorder and SLE like symptom may be caused in addition to above described side effects. |
