| Abstract;White garment hypertension (W) which showed normal blood pressure in non-medical treatment environment in the hypertension was outlined. Definition and diagnosis of W were explained. Also, the reference values of 24 hours blood pressure under free movement (ABP) based on the Ohsako research and home blood pressure were displayed, and it was explained that the normal value was 125/75mmHg or less in either blood pressure. The mechanism of W was explained, and it was guessed that the enhancement of primary sympathetic nerve was concerned in the white garment phenomenon. The report which tracked W patients was introduced, and the relation between W and persistent hypertension (PH) was described. The possibility as a risk factor of organ derangement and cardiovascular disease of W was examined, and it was described that the incidence of these diseases in W was in the middle of persons with normal blood pressure and persons with PH. It was indicated that though the necessity of the pharmacotherapy was small, it was necessary to carry out blood pressure evaluation and organ derangement evaluation periodically. |
