| Abstract; The safety and effect to QOL of hypotensive drugs used at present were outlined. As hypotensive drugs, Ca antagonist, ACE inhibitor, AII receptor antagonist, diuretic, .BETA. blocker, .ALPHA. blocker and central sympatholytic drug were mentioned and the safety from the viewpoint of side effect was explained. And, the effect on the QOL was described for benzothiadiazine derivative, .BETA. blocker, Ca antagonist, ACE inhibitor and angiotensin receptor antagonist. Next, the survey results on ingestion continuation rate of each hypotensive drug were explained, and it was described that many factors such as types of the drug, ages, sex difference between man and woman were related in the continuity. Multiple and large-scale study cases were introduced, and it was indicated that side effect incidence and drug continuation rate were not always correlated. |
